What are the half reactions for cellular respiration?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Reduction and oxidation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, of course. Please be more specific. In cellular respiration, which is the strongest reducing agent and the strongest oxidizing agent in order to create the half reactions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The electron donor, or the one that gives electrons, is called the reducing agent. So in cellular respiration glucose is the reducing agent. The electron receptor, or the one that gains electrons, is called the oxidizing agent. So oxygen is the ultimate oxidizing agent at the end of the electron transport chain.

Does that answer your question?
