PLEAAASEE HELP!!! @hero @perl @michele_laino

Write a polynomial FUNCTION of minimum degree with real coefficients whose zeros include those listed. Write the polynomial in standard form. 4, -8, and 2 + 5i f(x) = x4 - 6x3 - 20x2 + 122x - 928 f(x) = x4 - 19x2 + 244x - 928 f(x) = x4 - 6x3 + 20x2 - 122x + 928 f(x) = x4 - 61x2 + 244x - 928 @hero

hero (hero):

They give you the solutions of the function: x = 4 x = -8 x = 2 + 5i There's one more solution though because complex solutions always occur in pairs, so x = 2 - 5i Now for each equation, move everything to one side: x - 4 = 0 x + 8 = 0 x - 2 - 5i = 0 x - 2 + 5i = 0 Use the zero product property: (x - 4)(x + 8)(x - 2 - 5i)(x - 2 + 5i) = 0 Then set it equal to f(x) (x - 4)(x + 8)(x - 2 - 5i)(x - 2 + 5i) = f(x) Now multiply the left side and expand the polynomial to express it in standard form.
