OpenStudy (matlee):

Hello i need help understanding an equation , i have the answer but not understanding how it was written If I have 340 mL of a 0.5 M NaBr solution, what will the concentration be if I add 560 mL more water to it? (340 ml)(0.5 M) = (900 ml)(Mf); Mf = 0.2 M

OpenStudy (aaronq):

M=molarity, V=volume \(\sf \huge M_iV_i=M_fV_f\) \(\sf \huge (340 mL)(0.5 M) = (340mL+560mL)M_f\) \(\sf \huge M_f=\dfrac{ (340 mL)(0.5 M)}{(340mL+560mL)}\)

OpenStudy (matlee):

Thank you! Am i able to ask for more help afterwards?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

yeah lol of course
