Hint: Write 18 as 9*2 so your problem is:
\[
\sqrt{18}=\sqrt{9\cdot 2} =\sqrt{9}\sqrt{2}
\]
I'll leave the rest to you. :)

A
OpenStudy (anonymous):
OH MY JOSH!!!! You Are a Great juggler!!!!! that is talent!!!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Is it A?
OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):
It's not A, because the square root of 9 is not equal to 9. (thanks for the juggling compliment!) :)

OpenStudy (michele_laino):
here we have:
\[\large 108 = 3 \times {6^2}\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
last one!
OpenStudy (michele_laino):
it is:\[6\sqrt 3 \]
OpenStudy (michele_laino):

\[\sqrt {108} = 6\sqrt 3 \]

Are you still there?
OpenStudy (michele_laino):
hint:the area A of a square is given by the subsequent formula:
\[A = {L^2}\]
where L is its side, so we have:
\[L = \sqrt A = \sqrt {46} = ...?\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Ive got to go somewhere real quick. Will you be here in 10-15 min?
OpenStudy (michele_laino):
ok!
