what are your thoughts?
what is the probability of the rejection region for the claim?
It seems there would be a difference in the means.
your resoning? and then ill determine if i agree or not
Nevermind I think it would be answer b or d.
@amistre64
you agree that if the Pvalue of the test statistic is less than or equal to the Pvalue of the rejection region ... that we should reject?
if we are within 2sd 0, then we fail to reject otherwise we reject -2(10) to 2(10) is our 'acceptance' region 22 is not within that region is it?
no
then we reject the hypothesis of 'no difference'
there appears to be a differnce if we reject that there is no difference :)
Doesn't a null hypothesis mean there is no difference?
Do you not agree that it would be b or d? @amistre64
null is that there is not difference we reject the null and 'accept' the alternative ... ther IS a differnece
i dont know what this b or d stuff is, you have numbered options 1 There appears to be a difference between the means of the two populations. the IS a diff 2 There appears to be no difference between the means of the two populations. we rejected this 3 There appears to be a difference of 0 between the means of the two samples. a diff of 0 is still 'no diff' that was rejected 4 There appears to be no difference between the means of the two samples no diff, is still rejected
since we are asking about pop means, 3 and 4 are simply not relevant since they talk of samples
sorry by b and d I meant 2 and 4. lol Thanks.
:) yep
