Ok, so write it down :) Iron (III) oxide = Fe\(_2\)O\(_3\) Decomposes to Iron (III) and water vapor... Are you sure its water vapor? Are you sure it says water vapor?
I'm assuming this is done in aqueous solution then.
i wouldnt know how to notate the elements, i can balance an equation sometimes .. but the chem notation is not my area
water vapor is H2O
Fe\(_2\)O\(_3\) \(\sf _{(aq)}\)
aqueous means that the solvent is water, which is what is breaking down the molecule.
i think this is how its supposed to look but i need it balanced Fe(OH)->Fe + H2O

Yes. Then you need to take that back to her and correct her. Iron (III) hydroxide is not what she wrote down, it is \(\sf \color{red}{Fe(OH)_3}\)
