Which molecule will form a solution with a very low pH? H3PO4 H2O NaOH KOH
@matt101 , @Apocalyptic_Ash
A low pH means very acidic. Very acidic means lots of hydronium ions. Which molecule will produce the most hydronium ions once dissolved?
Well, H2O would be a nutral pH.
Well, I believe that H3PO4 is the correct answer. @matt101 , @Apocalyptic_Ash
I believe it may be the correct answer
I was thinking that too. :) Let me check my chart.
Then you'd be right! Water is neutral as @Apocalyptic_Ash says, so it's not likely to form a significant amount of hydronium or hydroxide ions. NaOH and KOH are both bases, because they dissociate in water to produce hydroxide ions.
So, H3PO4 is correct? @matt101
Exactly! :) @matt101 @FEARLESS_JOCEY
Yes. It's correct.
Thanks! :)
Glad to help. :)
