Adding to what Abbot mentioned, you can see the Oxygen. Oxygen, being highly electronegative will combine with hydrogen by HYDROGEN-BONDS. Such hydrogen comes from water and whenever a hydrogen bond is formed, dissolution is taking place, the reason why cyclohexanone is slightly soluble in water.|dw:1429187087961:dw|
