Give a balanced equation in words for a reaction of a group 1 metal with a strong acid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is no generalized equation for this. Because there are different types of strong acids. Here i m taking famous two acids as examples. Alkali metals and acids react to produce salts of metal and hydrogen gas in these cases. Word: \[Sodium _{(s)}+Hydrochloric acid _{(aq)}\rightarrow Sodium Chloride _{(aq)}+Hydrogen _{(g)}\] Balanced equation: \[2Na + 2HCl \rightarrow 2NaCl+H _{2}\] Another Example: Word: \[Sodium _{(s)} + Sulphuric Acid _{(aq)}\rightarrow Sodium Sulphate _{(aq)}+ Hydrogen _{(g)}\] Balanced Equation: \[2Na + H _{2}SO _{4}\rightarrow Na _{2}SO _{4}+ H _{2}\]

Thank you!!! <3 that makes sense though..
