Please

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

First we will use the log5(8) to determine what log5(2) is equal to (approximately) \[\Large \log_{5}(8) = 1.3\] \[\Large \log_{5}(2^3) = 1.3\] \[\Large 3*\log_{5}(2) = 1.3\] \[\Large \log_{5}(2) = \frac{1.3}{3}\] \[\Large \log_{5}(2) = 0.43333\ldots\] \[\Large \log_{5}(2) \approx 0.43333\] on step 3, I'm using rule 3 from this link http://www.purplemath.com/modules/logrules.htm

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I'll let you look over those steps. You can ask me about any of them and when you're all set, I can move onto the next part.

Omg thank you. It makes more sense..
