The price of a community pool membership has a one-time sign-up fee and a monthly fee. The price can be modeled by the function y = 20x + 50, where x is the number of months. What is the slope, and what does it represent?
@Xnlovely
what lesson is this?
the slope is 20/1 +50 becuase you would be going up 20, over 1, and you would be starting at 50
it's module 6, lesson 6.07
A) 20; it represents the monthly fee b) 20; it represents the one-time sign-up fee c) 50; it represents the monthly fee d) 50; it represents the one-time sign-up fee
A
no i remember doing this thats not A
i learned that when i was in public school algebra last year
you don't have 6.07 exam?
i do have the exam still saved but their not the same answers
the slope. the slope represents the monthly fee of $20 and the $50 represents the one time sign up fee. the answer is A
i just checked yeah he/she is right
Analyze the following statement: Marcus notices that he runs faster in the mornings rather than the evenings. Is the statement an example of correlation or causation?
im a she @Xnlovely
A) Correlation, because time of day doesn't cause a person to run faster or slower B) Causation, because Marcus has noticed this over several trials C) No relationship, because time of day has nothing to do with how fast a person runs D) There is not enough information to make a conclusion
Correlation. The time of day doesn't cause a person to run faster or slower- it could be that just waking up from sleeping makes him go faster, or his breakfast does, but not the time of day directly.
i havent learned that yet
I would say D.) there isn't enough information because there could be lots of different reasons being why he would be slower in evening and faster in the morning
i'm going to post a new question so i can give medals.
