i would like to hear all of your responses about who really controls the world

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i belive god controls the storms and plants the water the wind the clounds the air

OpenStudy (kenljw):

By controls the world do you mean the physical planet and not human beings. There are physical forces that man try's to understand and control, while man also try's to understand themselves and subject them to some sort of control.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

god controls nature and anaimals but not the people

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well said, well said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean everything who really controls do you think god is responsible for all of the suffering of human kind

OpenStudy (kenljw):

For century man has bred animals for a specific purpose as dogs and cows. Recently man has cracked the genetic code of most organic beings, even human, and has changed their genetic structure, as corn, soy, cotton and some animals, even having the ability to clone animals. Ultimately man will be able to eliminate their own genetic diseases, as cancer, and even enhance some good qualities. Some may say were playing God, but as part of God's creation what man does becomes somewhat part of God. It comes down to biologic ethics as whether man should determine what's better for man especially if God choose not to do something himself. This is what a physician says ifGod won't heal someone we must try.

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

God controls this world. God has the whole world in his hands :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I control my world. We all control our world. I will not say anything about god. If I do say that God controls everything, I am actually making an excuse for all the hard work that I do. For example, I will not prepare for a test only because God controls everything so he must have predetermined my test scores already. This is a concept of predetermination that I oppose. I want to work hard and say that I control my world so I am willing to change it also. Not just rely on God and his actions. After all, God helps those who help themselves first

OpenStudy (kenljw):

For those who help themselves one has to remember we no longer live in an agrarian society where everyone could work regardless of IQ and family's took responsibility for those with disabilities. Today 28.8 % of the populous have a 4 year degree or higher and I suspect it will saturate around 40 %, The top 20 % of the populous pay 85 % of the taxes because their natural ability(IQ) allows them upward mobility in our society. 10 % of our society are on SSD or SSI which came about in 1965 during the war on poverty and make about $12,000 per year. Why should the rest with normal IQ or lower have to just eek out a living in our modern urban society. Not every one have the natural ability to use this country's upward mobility model and as Christ I don't come for the rich.

Since we're in the topic of religion, I'll tell you what I know. When Lucifer was kicked out of heaven, he was given the name Satan and forced to live here on earth. It was here that he infiltrated the Roman empire and eventually the church (that is to say, bringing lies of false doctrine). Because of this, God has ALLOWED Satan to have his allotted time on this earth. As it is mentioned in Revelation, he will be sent to the lake of fire and be bounded for a time. Cults run rampant in Hollywood, which is the evidence that I'm bringing forth here. Everyone is so obsessed with the things of this world. Money, drugs, power, sex. Because of that, they're willing to sell their very soul to him who "rents" this earth to have fame and riches for a season. Eventually, the things of this earth will die out and be returned to the true owner (that is to say, God). But IN the world, Satan "owns" and controls the powers OF the earth. IN heaven, God controls the earth OF his creation. If that makes sense.

OpenStudy (kenljw):

The first definition of earth is bef 12 c, the fragment material composing part of the surface of the globe, esp cultivatable soil. This is an important definition because Adam, from adamah, meaning soil is where man comes from and where you have a mound of earth may very well be an assembly of people. This could mean that with certain people, earth, God is there.

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

their is only one creator one lord one king and That is Allah. Allah created all of us and one day we will return to Allah and that day is the day of judgement

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mahmood786123 i have to disagree with you, i believe God created everything and Jesus,God,and The Holy Spirit are one.

OpenStudy (ineedhelpfast12):

God has the whole world in His hands. He controls everything.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Funny thing about that, Mahmood.. In the Quran, your people have been told to kill the nonbelievers wherever you may find them. How can something so destructive create anything?

OpenStudy (kenljw):

If your familiar with all the prophecy that has come true you have to ask the question did God cause it or did he just observe it. From my studies of the Torah, Pentateuch, the Five Books of Moses, specifically Genesis you'll discover that God gave man free will and as such he observes man more than control him. Of course God has communicated to some but generally it was somewhat within their free will. I believe the evil is when a spirit takes control or implants certain things in people robbing them of the own true free will. This is the true evil in the world that God will condemn. But there may be "good" spirits in the world that help people out of certain situation that may or may not been their own fault but if fear they may rather control them than truly correct, heal them.

OpenStudy (mahmood786123):

Well that is a lie there is a lot of people going around giving false Qurans to people and Allah would never tell us to kill non believers instead try to make them muslim

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

@MaimiGirl You don not control your world. God controls every single one of our world's. I fit wasn't for good will, you wouldn't have food on the table, a home, family, or even your life.

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

*If it

OpenStudy (kenljw):

There are many without food on the table, if they have a table at all. This country was founded with all the water, greenery, and minerals needed to grow while others just try to survive. If this country is truly to be of divine origin the it must truly become a blessing to the world and not try to control it. Remember nature supplies much even your IQ and what one does with it well determine if God the Father accepts you or not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

God does not control the world right now, currently we are living in Satan's system. BUT we are living in the last days, soon God will wipe out all the bad and make the world how it was 1st intended. As Revelation 21:4-5 brings out "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” 5- And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful* and true.”

OpenStudy (kenljw):

I have one question about that outlook. Will there no more need for family's, will one no more feel the joy of children playing or a loving wife. In heaven are you joined with departed family, parents, grandparents, ... . Will a child that died always be a child, is there no growth in heaven and just a supposed static bliss. When you pray "heaven on earth" is that what your asking for or are you really asking for a world where theirs no negative influences on people and they can grow ever greater within our Lords.

OpenStudy (autogenius):

I believe God watches over the world. Although there are sufferings, disasters, and diseases; nothing gets out of God's control. Sometimes it might feel as if God is not even present in the sufferings that are in the world and it might feel as if sufferings happen for no reason, there is always reason behind everything. We might just not know it at that present time. I believe truly that we will one day understand the reason behind random disasters like the earthquake in Japan and the persecution of innocent people. Also, there are many testimonies of people who have went through the Holocaust or some kind of severe suffering and later understood the reason behind these things and have understood that something higher (God) was watching over them. God has a reason for everything He allows to happen in the world.

OpenStudy (adrynicoleb):

I'll give you a simple answer straight from the scriptures :P 1 John 5:19 - "We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." And Revelation 12:9 says - "So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him." So the scriptures make it very clear that it isn't God that is in control of this awful world, but instead it is Satan and his demons. Oh, and 1 John 4: 8 brings out that "God IS love". Not that He has love, but that He is love Himself. Pretty cool right? :P So obviously a God that is that loving couldn't do the horrible things that we see in the world. Hope I answered your question! (:

OpenStudy (autogenius):

I agree with you @adrynicoleb somewhat, but I also disagree. I am not trying to argue, but to state some observations from the Bible. Satan is not the controller of the world, but instead the ruler. God is in ultimate control of everything. God allows Satan to do his evil acts, but God is still in control. I do not have all the answers of why God allows Satan, but he does allow Satan to work as shown during the tempting of Job (Job 1:12). Also, because God gives freewill to us all, he allows those who choose to do evil and reject Him, to continue to do evil as shown Romans 1:24-32. But nevertheless, God is always in control. Here are some good verses: Job 12: 10-11 - "Who among all these does not know That the hand of the Lord has done this, In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?" Psalm 115:3 - "But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases." 1 Chronicles 29: 11 - "Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all." 1 Samuel 2: 6-8 - “The Lord kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory." Thanks.

Here is a good article: http://www.gotquestions.org/Satan-god-world.html

OpenStudy (adrynicoleb):

Ye that's basically what I meant :P @autogenius Sorry for the bad wording >.< To find out why God allows suffering in the first place, we have to go back to when all the suffering began. At Genesis 3:1, it shows us that Satan was questioning God's right to rule. [Now the serpent was the most cautious of all the wild animals of the field that Jehovah God had made. So it said to the woman: “Did God -really- say that you must not eat from every tree of the garden?"] And by calling him a liar at Genesis 3:4,5 [At this the serpent said to the woman: “You certainly will not die. (5) For God knows that in the very day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and bad.”], he was also saying that God was a bad ruler. Satan implied that we would be better off without Him to rule over us and Adam and Eve took his side, causing a rebellion to start against God. But kicking them out of the Garden of Eden wouldn't have done any good since they weren't the only ones who were involved in this situation. The Angels were also there watching everything that was going on. There is actually a really good illustration I like bc it kind of puts everything into perspective. It's kind of a lot of reading to do, but it brings out the point that I'm trying to make. Imagine that a teacher is telling his students how to solve a difficult problem. A clever but rebellious student claims that the teacher’s way of solving the problem is wrong. Implying that the teacher is not capable, this rebel insists that he knows a much better way to solve the problem. Some students think that he is right, and they also become rebellious. What should the teacher do? If he throws the rebels out of the class, what will be the effect on the other students? Will they not believe that their fellow student and those who joined him are right? All the other students in the class might lose respect for the teacher, thinking that he is afraid of being proved wrong. But suppose that the teacher allows the rebel to show the class how he would solve the problem. The teacher knows that the rebel and the students on his side are wrong. But he also knows that allowing them the opportunity to try to prove their point will benefit the whole class. When the rebels fail, all honest students will see that the teacher is the only one qualified to lead the class. They will understand why the teacher thereafter removes any rebels from the class. The main point is that by God letting Satan rule over the Earth and humans setting up our own governments, we clearly see that there is no better ruler for us other than the One who created us.

OpenStudy (adrynicoleb):

Sorry it turned out a lot longer than I expected it to be o_o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe in God because God can control every move we make , every word we say , every animal in the wild, and every thing in the world. He knows what will happen the next second and i am proud to say i am a christian

OpenStudy (kenljw):

There's a difference between controlling something and observing, are prophecy's an observed future occurrence or something that God will control to happen. To say God controls it means man has no free will and existence is meaningless, when and if God ever does something divinely its for the moment that may ripple through the future, but always man has freewill though I've noticed others and myself being controlled at occasion.
