Unfortunately, I do not believe this is something you can prove. When expanding you start with: \[(sinx+cosx)/sinxcosx\] From this, you can see that you cannot remove sinx or cosx for they would have to be in one expression. Even if you tried to square the equation you would get nowhere. This is not an identity.
