What is the pOH of a solution in which [H+] = 1 x 10-5 M? Select one: a. 9 b. 7 c. 10 d. 5 I feel like the answer is A.) can anyone confirm this or help me find the correct answer if my guess is wrong? Here's my work: [H+] *[OH-] = 10^-4 [OH-] = 10^-14/10^-5 [OH-] = 10^-9

Oh wait! It'd the pOH would be 5 right?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

I just started acids but I agree with 9.

Okay, cool. Thanks again, Dan.

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Np, and if your asking why, (h+) is an acidic property. So the pH would be 5, but pOH would just be 9.
