Using a table of themodynamic data, calculate delta H rxn for 2SO(g) +2/3 O3(g) --> 2SO2(g)

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

where is the table ?

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

to calculate delta H of a reaction :- \[\large \bf \Delta H_{reaction}=\Delta H_{products}-\Delta H_{reactants}\]

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

\[\large \bf \Delta H_{reaction}=(2 \Delta H_{SO_2})-(2 \Delta H_{SO} + \frac{2}{3} \Delta H_{O_3})\]

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

hope you understand ! @staldk3

I wasn't given a table.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

look up the values online, they're called enthalpies of formation

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_enthalpy_change_of_formation_(data_table)

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

use this

I honestly have no idea how to do this. We didn't really go over it in class since we didn't have time to. I tried looking for the SO on the table and couldn't find it.
