How do you find specific heat?

The specific heat is the amount of energy required to raise 1 g of a substance 1 degree C (or K). You can find specific heat (c) if you're given the mass of the substance (m), the change in temperature of that substance (ΔT), and the total heat used (q) by the following equation: \[q=mc \Delta T\]
