Given the mass of an unknown, and I calculate the number of moles. Do I get the molar mass by multiplying the two? or do I go mass/ number of moles?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what is molar mass? is it moles per mass?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

or is it mass per moles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

molar mass is g/mol ie grams per moles

OpenStudy (amistre64):

g/mol tells you what to do, mass divided by whatever a mole is

Thank you, this was probably better suited for the chemistry section, but I hadn't realized haha.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

and i think the SI unit is kg/mol but im not the expert

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its g/mol, anyways you were right! Thanks again!
