Logarithm help, check my answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got C but I'm not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got c as well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Austin6i6 Would you mind explaining how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\log_{\,3}58=x \Rightarrow 3^x=58\) \(\log3^x=\log58\Rightarrow x\log3=\log58\) \[x=\frac{ \log58 }{ \log 3 }\]

change of base formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay, so C is right? @pgpilot326

OpenStudy (anonymous):

calculate. then for 2nd part\[4^{\frac{ \log58 }{ \log3 }}=y\Rightarrow \log_4y=\frac{ \log58 }{ \log3 }\]use the first to find y and rewrite using the second

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@pgpilot326 I got like 20.494, but the first half I got 3.696, so its C or D, how to find the second half again?
