I'm here, what's the question?
k let me get it
Which one do you think it is?
A
And why do you think it's A?
it look right
But we're looking for the one that DOESN'T solve the problem. A solves it, so our answer isn't A.
ohh so C
Nope, C also solves it. A is the same as C, but as a physical representation. If you imagine the top numbers as the cups, and the bottom values as the amount in them, you'll realize that C solves it. So now we have it down to B and D. Which of those do you think it is?
B
Yes, B would be right. B says that is (3*2)+6 but it would really be (3+2)*6. Any questions about our answer?
i have another question can u help me
Which strategy would not correctly solve this story problem? Ms. Bailey's cat had 10 kittens. There were 5 white kittens, 3 black kittens, and the rest were brown. How many kittens were brown? A. Translate into an equation. 5 + 3 + k = 10 B. Use logical reasoning. There are 10 kittens. Subtract 5 (the number of white kittens) and 3 (the number of black kittens). The remaining kittens are brown. C. Draw a diagram. Draw 10 kittens. Cross out 5 of the kittens, then cross out 3 kittens. Circle the remaining kittens. D. Work backward. There are 10 kittens. Add 5 for the number of white kittens and another 3 for the number of black kittens. The total is the number of brown kittens.
Which one do you think it is?
umm ...D
Yes, it would be D. Good job :)
i have 2 more can u help me ?
