OpenStudy (treelessavy):

What is the [H+] of an HCl solution if the pH is measured to be 6? Select one: a. 1 X 10-7 M b. 1 X 10-6 M c. 6 X 10-6 M d. 8 X 10-1 M

OpenStudy (thadyoung):

pH proportional to the -log of the hydrogen concentration. In otherwords: \(\sf \color{red}{pH = -log[H^+]}\) therefore, using some algebra, you can solve for the acid concentration in your solution. Can you do that? This is simply solving for \(\sf H^+\) Do you remember this from algebra - log rules?
