OpenStudy (foreverjennnicole):

Sorry, I went to eat dinner x) Anyways, I don't think so. An adjective phrase is a phrase whose head word is an adjective. For example: fond of steak, very happy, quite upset about it, etc. What's your next guess?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My seconed guess would be c @foreverjennnicole

OpenStudy (foreverjennnicole):

An adverb phrase is two or more words that act as an adverb. It can modify a verb, adverb, or adjective and can tell “how”, “where”, “why”, or “when.” Since "at the lake" describes where, I would say C is correct :)

Which best describes the underlined group of words? Ultimately, they moved to Roanoke, our hometown. A. appositive phrase B. adjective phrase C. adverb phrase D. misplaced modifier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

our hometown. underlined

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think appositive phrase

OpenStudy (foreverjennnicole):

This is a tricky one. I know it's not B and I don't think it's C or D, so A seems like it would be the best choice... but I'm pretty positive that "they moved to Roanoke" is the appositive phrase, not "our hometown". So it could possibly be another adverb phrase, OR it could be D if the they're suggesting the sentence should be "Ultimately, they moved to our hometown, Roanoke." instead. I would say this one is your call

I think it's called because "6 o clock" describes WHEN she called, not who she called. How many more?
