A buffer is most effective when the concentration of its acid form: is high but conjugate base is low and conjugate base are lowest and conjugate base are highest is low but conjugate base is high

OpenStudy (teddyiswatshecallsme):

To maintain a pH range the acid-base pair has to be weak with a conjugate or the conjugate has to be weak with a acid-base.. Based upon this information which one do you think it best relates to?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b ? @Teddyiswatshecallsme

OpenStudy (teddyiswatshecallsme):

I believe so. :)

OpenStudy (teddyiswatshecallsme):

Its either B or Its A, but now that i read A it would make sense for both but i think that's your best bet.

OpenStudy (teddyiswatshecallsme):

If you're having doubts here the website where i got my information from: http://chemwiki.ucdavis.edu/Physical_Chemistry/Acids_and_Bases/Buffers

OpenStudy (teddyiswatshecallsme):

Also, boundless.com is a good website if you need more information but based upon the first paragraph under the headline "What is a buffer composed of?" I'd personally go for A.
