y = (12x)/3 y = 4x (value of y from equation 1) substitute it in equation 2 you'll get value of x

dont you have to single out the x?
you have two equations k? I took value of x from equation 1 (3y = 12x)
thats not how substitution method works... you have to get value of x or y from anyone of the two equations and substitute in the other one.
