Yes, butane is a hydrocarbon and is represented by this formation |dw:1433099999725:dw| sorry for the poor drawing. I believe its a hydrocarbon for the fact that hydrocarbons are the simplest of organic materials being consisted of only Hydrogen and Carbon.

Ok so an Isomer is when you have the same chemical make for example I will use butane and isobutane both have the same makeup of C4H10.|dw:1433103019750:dw| this is the original butane compound and isobutane looks like this |dw:1433103039714:dw|
