Will give a medal and fan. Match the following. Match the items in the left column to the items in the right column. 1. +(delta)H __molecular formation at the time of reaction 2. precipitation __affects the activation energy level 3. catalyst __exothermic 4. -(delta)H __endothermic 5. activation complex __way to detect reactions

\(\sf \Delta H\) is the change in thermodynamic potential, which is the internal energy in a system. \(\sf + \Delta H \) means that energy is absorbed or was added into (endo) the system and \(\sf \ - \Delta H\) means that energy is released outside (exo) or escaped out of the system. Catalysts are substances that speed up a reaction but is not consumed by the reaction. When reactions take place one way to determine is sometimes when there is change in color then a solid formation that we refer to as precipitates or observation of precipitation. The intermediate structures or formations and breakage of bonds in a chemical reactions are referred to as the activated complex.
