Neon has an average atomic mass of 20.2 g/mol, whereas argon has an average atomic mass of 40.0 g/mol. How would the number of atoms in a 1.0 mol sample of neon compare to the number of atoms in a 4.0 mol sample of argon?

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

1.0 moles of a gas just means 6.022 * 10^23 atoms of that gas. The atomic masses aren't needed here.

OpenStudy (jfraser):

how many "things" make up a mole? the pile of neon atoms has one mole of neon atoms, and the pile of argon has 4 moles of argon atoms. Which pile has more atoms?
