A marble or small sphere, made of stone, is found to have a mass of 3.05 grams. To find its volume, it is placed in a graduated cylinder that originally contains 10.00 mL of water. When the marble is placed in the graduated cylinder, the new volume of the water and marble together is 11.20 mL. 5a. Calculate the volume of the marble (Be sure to include units). (3pts) 5b. Calculate the density of the marble (Be sure to include units). (2pts)

what are your own thoughts on this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so the volume is the difference of the final and initial values (1.2 mL) The definition of density is m/volume so if u create a formula based of this definition, you would get D(density)=m/v(volume) so plug in the numbers (must be in kilograms and m^3 [SI units]) .00305 kg/ .0012 L Hope this helps
