hint: ionic bond is implied by a electrons transfer, from one atom to other atom of the bonded system, those electrons belong to the outermost shell of the first atom whereas: covalent bond is implied by a sharing of some electrons between the atoms which are involved in the new bonded system (molecule). Again the shared electrons belong to the outermost shell of each atom of the new molecule
