I thought I just did. Anyway the hypotenuse is always the longest side of a right triangle. The other 2 sides are sometimes called legs If we were to square all 3 sides then hypotenuse^2 = leg1^2 + leg2^2 Example: If we have a right triangle of sides 3, 4 and 5 5 is hypotenuse if we square it, it equals sum of other 2 sides 5^2 = 3^2 + 4^2 25 = 9 + 16

sine = opposite side/hypotenuse OR sine = y/hyp cosine = adjacent side/hypotenuse OR sine = x/hyp

sine^2 = y^2/hyp^2 cosine^2 = x^2/hyp^2
