This is a double replacement , in which the cation of the first compound reacts with the anion of the second compound and the anion of the first compound reacts with the cation of the second compound. Giving us: \[CaCl _{2} + Na _{2}CO _{3} \rightarrow CaCO _{3} + 2NaCl\]
