1. find the limiting reactant a. convert 50.6 grams of magnesium hydroxide to moles b. convert 45.0 grams of HCl to moles, then divide by 2 because the equation specifies that 2 moles of HCl are required for every 1 mol of Mg(OH)2 between a and b, choose the smaller of the two as the limiting reactant 2. depending on what you chose for step 1, convert moles of reactant to moles of MgCl2 using the mole ratio 3. convert to grams of MgCl2 by multiplying by the molar mass of MgCl2
oh okay thanks !
