so for this question It will look like this [2Ag-][SO4-]=1.4x10^-5 which I again let Ag and SO4 be represented by x so [2x]^2[x]=1.4x10^-5 so 4x^3=1.4x10^-5 I then solve for x which is 1.5x10^-2

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

x represents the molar solubility which is 1.5x10^-2M

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

Oh okay thank you! How about this one?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

For this its (3.2)^2/(1.5)(1.2)^2 = 4.74>3 and 3 is representative of Kp so 4.74=Q ans Q>K so that means the reaction must proceed to the left/reverse.

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

So C is the answer?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Yes :)

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

Thanks! This one? What do you think?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Well, I'm not completely sure, but I am giving it a shot. It is not b or c though.

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

So which is the most logical between A and D?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

My guess is this you take the Kc=56 and you double it as that is done in the second reaction and then you do this 1/112=.0089 which is an answer being 8.9x10^-3 which is D.

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

Ok thanks!
