Hi

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Oh wow that's a lot of tagging. Anyways, third person is when the narrator isn't involved in the story and uses words like he or she in place of I or you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you use My?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

undead can you use MY?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

my?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea the word my

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in third person

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Um...no you can't. That would be first person. In third person, the author can't interact with the story, just narrate it. It's not like J.K. Rowling was all like "Then I walked in the classroom and I was all like "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttt?!!"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol thats a great example

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Why thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how would i write something instead of my in this instance "My everyday monster is ..."

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Well it depends. Are you a boy or a girl? If you are a boy, you'd use he, and if you're a girl, you'd use she.

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Sorry. Him/her I meant.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

OH WHOOPS. His/Her I"m such a stupid. XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol no you not

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

I know but I made the same mistake twice. But yeah, his/her.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well imma close it now ty SOOOOOOOOOOO much
