OpenStudy (photon336):

I believe that H2SO4 + CuCO3 is a neutralization reaction. Specifically, it will be an acid-carbonate reaction which will result in the production of a salt, water, and carbon dioxide. FYI this reaction produces CO2 gas as a side product. H2SO4 (aq) + CuCO3 (s) --> CuSO4 (aq) + H20 (l) + CO2 (g) CuSO4 (copper sulphate) is the salt produced.
