Need help with simplifying roots (medal and fan)
\[(-\frac{ \sqrt{2} }{ 2 } \times \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }) - (\frac{ \sqrt{2} }{ 2} \times \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{ 2 })\]
The answer is: \[-\frac{ 1 }{ 4 }(\sqrt{2}+\sqrt{6})\]
I don't understand how this is the answer. I must be doing something very wrong. Here's my work: \[\frac{- \sqrt{2} }{ 4 }-\frac{ \sqrt{6} }{ 4 }\] Then: \[\frac{ -\sqrt{2} -\sqrt{6}}{ 4 }\]
