OpenStudy (elleblythe):

How do we solve for this: lim(t->0) (tan2t)/3t

OpenStudy (welshfella):

if we do a direct substitution we get 0 /0 so apply l'hopital's rule

OpenStudy (welshfella):

giving 2 sec^2 2t / 3

OpenStudy (elleblythe):

@welshfella Oh got it, okay thanks!

OpenStudy (welshfella):

- that isnt the answer thats just the result of differentiating the top and bottom of the function.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

if we now substitute directly we have 2 * (1) / 3 = 2/3 required limit is 2/3

OpenStudy (welshfella):

- perhaps you've worked that out already
