Compare the activation energies of these two reactions. Reaction A requires more activation energy. Reaction B requires more activation energy. Both reactions require the same amount of activation energy, but reaction A absorbs more of this energy. b?

OpenStudy (taramgrant0543664):

The activation energy is the amount of energy needed for the reactants to become the products so the one that has the bigger "hill" or "bump" has the bigger activation energy

OpenStudy (taramgrant0543664):

B has a lower activation energy because it needs less energy in order for the reaction to occur

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so a?

OpenStudy (taramgrant0543664):

Yes it would be A because it requires more energy for the reaction to take place

thanks can you help me with more?

OpenStudy (taramgrant0543664):

Sure can!
