energy in an endothermic reaction

OpenStudy (rushwr):

what is thee question here @ticcaxo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does it mean?

OpenStudy (rushwr):

I'll tell u what I know though. When an endothermic reaction occur it ABSORBS HEAT from the surrounding. I guess u would have done practicals where the beaker gets cool when the reaction starts. That is an endothermic reaction.

OpenStudy (rushwr):

Energy is released when bonds are formed. If a reaction is endothermic, it takes more energy to break the bonds of the reactants than is released when the bonds of the products are formed. SO I guess we can say the energy is high in an endothermic reaction

hope it was helpful !
