chem question

OpenStudy (rushwr):

did use this equation? \[\Delta G = -RTK _{eq}\]

OpenStudy (rushwr):

how did u get that?

OpenStudy (rushwr):

show me ur work

OpenStudy (rushwr):

@Photon336

OpenStudy (photon336):

ah yes

OpenStudy (photon336):

you need to use \[\Delta G = -RTlnKc\]

OpenStudy (photon336):

Kc = 54.8 450 C + 273 = 723 K R = 0.008314 Kj/K*mol plug these all in but let me double check the units first.

OpenStudy (photon336):

Vera_ewing let me check this first

OpenStudy (photon336):

we know that our Kc > 1 so our delta G must be negative from our equation. I think it's -24.1 kj/mol

OpenStudy (photon336):

\[-(723K)(0.008314Kj/mol)Ln(54.3) \]
