Needed a check on Algebra 2 graphing! Describe the graph of the function f(x) = x3 − 15x2 + 68x − 96. Include the y-intercept, x-intercepts, and the end behavior. and my answer is: First, to find the y intercept, 0 must be substituted in f(x) to be f(0). Then the equation must be solved. f(0) = (0)^3-15(0)^2+68(0)-96 . It equals -96. This means that the y intercept must be (0,-96) . The x intercepts can be solved for, there are three of them, as show by the graph. The three x intercepts are 3, 4, and 8 . The end behavior is f(x)->+∞ as x->+∞ and the left side is f(x)->-∞ as x->-∞ .
