According to the collision theory, for a reaction to be successful, it must have correct orientation of the atoms of the reactants. Which of the following must also be true for a successful reaction to occur? A catalyst must be present. The collision must have sufficient energy. The particles must have adequate velocity. Reactants must have high molecular mass.

Which one do you think it is?
I'll take one out its not A because a reaction can occur without a catalyst the catalyst only decreases the amount of energy needed for the reaction to take place so all the catalyst does is make the reaction happen faster
so c? @taramgrant0543664
They do have to have velocity but the velocity doesn't determine if the reaction proceeds at the point of collision it has to have enough energy for the reactants to turn to products without enough energy the reaction doesn't proceed and therefore no matter how fast the molecules go it depends on the energy that they have when they collide with one another
so d is ocrrrect
D is wrong because it only depends on the amount of energy when the molecules collide not the mass
so that leaves us with b
Yes B is correct because at the time of collision if there is enough energy there the reaction will proceed
