Help setting Up a stoichiometry problem for acids and base?
Ca(OH)2 + 2 HCl yields 2 H2 O + CaCl2 Given: Volume of Base: 27.0 mL of Ca(OH)2 Volume of Acid: 32.40 mL of HCl Molarity of Acid: 0.185 M HCl Unknown: Molarity of Base: ? M Ca(OH)2
This is what I know, I'm just having trouble setting it up

Approach this like any other stoichiometry problem. The general approach follows: 1. Write and balance reaction 2. Convert whats given to moles (acid in this case) 3. Set up molar ratio (moles of species and their respective stoichiometric coefficients), general form of: \(\sf \dfrac{moles~of~A}{A's~coefficient}=\dfrac{moles~of~B}{B's~coefficient}\) 4. Solve In this case you need to use the volume and the moles to find the concentration. You'll need this formula: \(\sf Molarity=\dfrac{moles_{solute}}{L_{solution}}\)
