When Ca(NO3)2 is separated into its ions, how is it written? Ca and NO3 Ca+2 and NO3- Ca+2 and 2NO3- Ca and 2NO3

OpenStudy (aaronq):

\(\sf \huge Ca(NO_3)_{\color{red}2}\rightarrow 1~Ca^{2+}+2 ~NO_3^{-1}\) the subscript outside of the brackets (in red) indicates the number of nitrate ions

OpenStudy (aaronq):

it's a short form, instead of writing \(\sf \huge CaNO_3NO_3\)
