Well n=cv Where n is the number of moles c is concentration v is volume In this case the the moles will be the same so you could do c1v1=c2v2 Where the ones with 1 is the stock solution and the ones with 2s are the solution you are making But in this question we don't really need it because if you are making a solution from a stock your stock solution will have a higher concentration So in A the stock solution is 2.0M you can't make your solution 2.5M So D is the only one that would work since the stock solution is 4.5M diluting to a 3.5M solution
