What data is needed to solve for the orders of reactants in a rate law?
answers given ?
No, it's an open response.
ohkai let me try this !
@nincompoop @taramgrant0543664 I think i'm not soo sure about this !
@Empty @Photon336
As to what I know The amount of products obtained during a constant time The amount of reactants used up during a constant time Time taken to obtain a constant amount of products.
Ok, that makes sense. Thank you!
no no wait. Let's go with tata's opinion !
Ok
rate=k[A]^2 for a second order reaction n=2 rate=k[A]^n[B]^m so you would need to find exponents n and m To find n and m you would need the products obtained and the reactants used and the rate at which they happen at there's normally a table and you figure out the exponents when one is constant and the others change Using concentrations after you find the exponents you can get the rate constant k I don't know if that makes sense, I'm not very good at explaining these questions!
No that makes sense. I understand now. Thank you! @taramgrant0543664 @Rushwr
Ok well that's good!! No problem!!
