MATH Party; How does the pressure against the side of a pool near the bottom relate to the pressure at the bottom with uniform depth of 2.0m? Mathematically compute the absolute pressure given the dimensions 20 m x 10 m whose uniform depth is 2.0 m?
Hydrostatic pressure is uniform in all directions at a given depth. Judge from your course context to interpret "absolute" pressure to mean hydrostatic pressure only, or in addition to air pressure at the surface of the liquid.
Ok guys thanks so much;)
So far I got the absolute pressure of 1.2*10^5 Pa
Now that I have the absolute pressure 1.2*10^5 Pa I need to calculate the pressure acting on the side near the bottom. I think it's the same.

Yes, it's the same. "Hydrostatic pressure is uniform in all directions at a given depth."
