A pump pumps fluid into a pipe at a rate of flow of 60.0 cubic centimeters per second. If the cross-sectional area of the pipe at a point is 1.2 cm2, what is the average speed of the fluid at this point My solution is pretty simple; since the water (60cm^3/2) has to flow cross section (1.2cm^2) I divide (60cm^3/s) by (1.2cm^2) to calculate the velocity at which the water flows through the tube. Therefore (60cm^3)/(1.2cm^2)=50cm/s * I know this is simple but I'd like to double check. Thanks

It looks fine to me the units when cancelling them out makes sense so I think it is valid

Well the big thing is that if the units don't cancel out properly then it doesn't make sense so since the units make sense with what you are finding then I would only assume that what you did would be valid
