Which of the following is the salt in the Brønsted-Lowry neutralization reaction? HBr + NaOH yields H2O + NaBr HBr NaOH H2O NaBr
@taramgrant0543664
would it be h20
H2O is not a salt
so naoh ?
@Mehek14
so b @taramgrant0543664
NaOH is a salt it's also a strong base to neutralize it you're going to need a strong acid and that would be HBr
so a would be correct
No it would be B NaOH is a salt HBr is a strong acid that is neutralizing the NaOH salt
The products of neutralization are water and a salt. The products are H2O and NaBr. So the salt is....?
I don't get B, @taramgrant0543664
@JoannaBlackwelder omg I just realized how dumb I was! NaBr is definitely a salt, NaOH is a base not a salt lol for some reason I was reading NaOH and deciding that it must be the same as NaCl. Apparently I should just go to sleep I'm too tired for this lol thanks for pointing that out, mistakes happen at least it got caught!
Haha, no worries. It happens to the best of us. :-)
