Fe2O3 + C → Fe + CO2 can someone balance this for me please

OpenStudy (abb0t):

What exactly do you need help with? Set up a chart, that usually helps|dw:1441135732614:dw|

OpenStudy (abb0t):

notice you don't have same number of atoms on each side. to balance, you must keep in mind, the law of conservation of matter. matter is neither created nor destroyed, hence, what goes in, must also come back out. nothing more. To balance, you should add a number in front of each. It follows dsitributive property (from math). For example, if i add a 4 in front of the iron (iii) oxide - Fe\(_2\)O\(_3\), you would have 4 Fe\(_2\)O\(_3\) which would mean you now have 4 x 2 = 8 iron atoms and 12 oxygens. And what you do to one side, you do to the other. just play around with it until you have the SAME number of atoms on both sides. try it.
