well you can't keep the exponent negative
Nnesha (nnesha):
\[\huge\rm p^{-5}=\frac{ 1 }{ 243 }\]
2 ways to find value of p
first one is change negative to positive exponent and then cross multiply
2nd one ) what number to the 5th power equal to 243 ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\huge\rm p^{-5}= \frac{1}{p^5}\]right \[\huge\rm \frac{ 1 }{ p^5 } =\frac{ 1 }{ 243 }\]
now cross multiply then take 5th root both sides
